I just can't seem to remember the name of the card trick that uses a deck with cards of 52 different backs? I used to have it, but can't seem to locate it, but saw a card magician do the trick at a dinner the other night. And it was just as marvelous as I remember it was from years ago. Still a real stunner. Does anyone still do this trick? Would anyone remember the name of this deck or trick? Thanks.

The trick is called "Rainbow Deck".

It seems like the rainbow deck, but it could be a Daryl effect which I can't remember what it's called.

There was also trick called Las Vegas Gemini Twins which supplied a full deck, the backs of which were all different casino cards.

There is also a trick from Len Johnson named THE STOLEN CARDS. I've seen Lennart Green selling this trick at the end of his lecture.

It IS Lennart Greens Stolen Cards. Rainbox cards os the cheap version, Stolen cards is the quality version with proper Casino quality and various other cards. I use this trick all the time, it is just a stunning effect!

I am collecting backs of playing cards, perhaps to realize such an idea in that direction. Please feel free to see my actual collection of more than 40 backs. http://www.card-shark.de/index_e.cfm?Spr......p;Navi=4
Perhaps you have an extraordinary or old back for me? Please contact me. I am really interested. Christian

Scotty York and Dave Van Vranken's "Quintuplicate Coincidence" is also a multi-coloured back deck in casino quality. Similar to "Stolen" but with five kickers - hence the title. A better routine in my opinion.

Robert,
Yes Quadrapule Coincidence is a marketed effect. You can see it here. http://www.dennymagic.com/cgi-bin/hazel.......m=002907 Also, Darwin Ortiz has an effect with all different back on one of his Cardshark videos. But I can't remember the name of the effect, or even what the effect was. MB, if you think the effect may be an Ortiz thing, I could try to loook it up.

Sorry, that should have been Quintuplicate Coincidence. Not Quadrapule Coincidence.

I agree with Christopher. Lennart Green's Stolen Cards is real good.

Ortiz used the different backs idea as a utility for Card Warp. Is that what you're thinking of Vandy?

The Rainbow Deck is a Sen. Clarke Crandall concept, as a sort of kicker color changing deck. Derek Dingle used to feature it in his lectures and sold the decks in Poker size.
I've been putting together such a pack for my own use and it's tough to find 52 different white bordered Poker sized cards that have similar faces. Christian, we should compare decks. I didn't see your collection on the site. Can you post a direct link? |

There's a fairly recent thread here about a new Bicycle Rainbow deck that the USPCC is releasing soon. I understand that it's comprised of all the USPCC backs (past and present), plus some additional backs designed by Martini. I would actually like to see the USPCC print a rainbow deck of all rider backs in 52 different colors or shades, but that's probably never going to happen.
wsduncan - Are you putting together a rainbow pack for the Dingle routine? I'm going to have to look that up! If possible, I'd also like to see a direct link, Card-Shark. I couldn't find the card collection on your site either. Thanks, Robert |

Like Magiguy said earlier in this thread: go to Corbinmagic.com and look for Las Vegas Gemini Twins.
Real Casino-cards with different backs for just $ 9.95 (postpaid worldwide !!) and you can do the Stolen Cards-effect for 90% (only the backs won't match). Frans |
