“Pop” (Whit) Hayden is a member here on the Café and you could ask him directly.
It looks to me as if he is using the “Gene Anderson torn and restored newspaper” version of the trick . Nice presentation, yes? I'd pay to see him work!!!
The artist formally known as Mumblepeas!

Yes, Whit does the Gene Anderson torn and restored. He has mentioned the fact here several times.

The Gene Anderson T and R is the only T and R this performer will ever perform. =)

Thanks guys.. Just one question about it:
I would like to do the routine, then crumple the newspaper up and produce a dove from inside.. Would that be possible with this effect without ruining the gimmick? Thanks, -Vinnie |

When I perform the T and R I make a new one every time and a new gimmick for the paper. It does not take me long to do and is quite easy. If you wanted to, you could salvage the gimmick off the crumpled paper without too much of a problem.
OR, another solution is to take out one of the inside papers, ditch the outside paper into a receptacle and use this free paper for your dove production. Hope this helps. Kyle

Vinnie,
You will absolutely love performing this wonderful illusion. Keep in mind that it is a labor of love. You do have to take the effort to construst one before every performance. However, you get fast at it over time and for myself, the reactions I get from the audience and the entertainment value is worth the time spent. Kyle

You are most welcome. If you have any problems with the directions or with the process of making one,. please just let me know. I have made so many of them over the years, I can do it in my sleep. I also had the great honor of having gene Anderson himself spend time with me once showing me exactly how to construst it and set it up and performance tips. I was very grateful for him doing this for me. Just let me know.

I do the T&R newspaper routine with dove production at the end, usually get a surprise and great response from the audience. I produce the dove by 'stealing' from body load as I move the newspaper from side to side after restoration. Not too difficult to do.
