I have just about every ring flight ever made:
1) I like the Morelli Ring from collector's workshop the best. No reel. Very safe, and easy to do. Only $30 2) Serendipity, also from collectors is the same price and very nice. Ring appears inside a Zippo lighter. Great idea. 3) Gaeton Bloom's is a good idea, but the case that comes with it is very cheap. Not nearly as nice as the one Close uses. 4) Have Sheridan's Ring Thing. For $10, it's worth a look. No gimmich and pretty easy to load. 5) Ring in Salt is a good idea but you have to wear a jacket, and it gets messy. Use only for formal shows, not walkaround. 6) Rinky Dinkey is not good. Stay away. Breaks easily, and if you wear suits like I do to perform, you have to attach it to your pants somehow because there is no way it will stay in your pocket. Also, the hook scratches the ring. |

So for visual appearance, is Polaris the best to buy?
Out of all the ring flights, with a key case, which looks the most expensive and does not seem like a gimmick? My vote goes to Polaris.... Thanks, |

I have a ring flite(key case) I bought from Bascomb that performs the secondary duties of winching my truck out of the mud, as well as allowing me to scale buildings like a superhero.
Okay, it's not quite that strong, but I did manage to use it to vanish a Yugo. I had to replace my topit. I have no idea who made this one. It's a leather case with a really sturdy zipper. |

I have an IMAKulate flight, but I use it for "Keyknow" from Waters' Mind, Myth & Magick.
I also have Bloom's Flying Ring, and absolutely don't like it because the gimmick's dimensions so severely limit which rings you can and cannot borrow. For sheer beauty and clean appearance, I've ordered Sean Field's Flight 204, and I can't wait to receive it! Also, it's my understanding that it can make the ring reappear on a necklace worn by a dead frog. (That last comment was for Midknightmagic's benefit.) Good luck!

Not saying you cannot bring it back to life, but to complain that an effect that did not exist when the thread was alive is not listed, that is a different matter. Kind of like yelling at Disovery of Witchcraft because Scott did not mention the use of Lasers in magic.

Dan Tong has a beautiful ring on stick/ring flight routine on his first DVD.
Here's video clip of it and you can order the DVD from the same site: http://www.kozmomagic.com/

Imakulate Ring Flight is the best. Several comments here:
1) matt.magicman - I've had no trouble getting it onto the clasp at my fingertips as I admire their beautiful ring. It's just a matter of practice; 2) some people will slam the look of an old fashioned key case. You're a magician, the stuff you've got is supposed to be different, quirky. Who else, other than a magician, keeps a 6-foot flagpole in a paper lunch bag? 3) Dan Tong's ring on a stick routine is great! Best of luck to all with this effect. It's a great one for me!
Tally-ho! And Tuscarora too!

You want the best? I've made 600 of them so far... "Just IN Case" for Mike Close's Ring Fright... no reel, no thumb tip. Ask Dean Dill about it. (Blatant Plug)!

Ring in dead frog. Sounds like one of those routines that is great for people that you only want to perform for once (they'll never want to see you again after that). I would also assume that the person you borrowed the ring from would want to rearrange your front teeth.
