As some of you know, I am addicted to FISM videos...
Maybe its because I still enjoy being fooled by a skilled and creative magician. Here is a response I received from TLA after I inquired about the FISM TV special being aired in the U.S. My colleague in the US forwarded me your email. We are still in discussions with US broadcasters but there is nothing finalised at this stage. Otherwise we will release a DVD of the FISM World Championships of MagicT 2006 in the next 8 months or so. I don't know yet the full distribution network but sure the DVD will be available on http://www.fismstore.com Anyway, feel free to contact me for any questions you may have Kind regards Alexis Duvernoy The Licensing Agency *Crossing Fingers* Derek Merdinyan |

FISM on American TV just seems like selling out.
I would think it would look less like The Olympics of Magic and more like Magic: The Competition Reality Show so tune in next week to see Some Guy With Cards go against Some Other Guy with Coins! :-/ We gotta keep the world of magic at least a little secretive and mysterious, yes?
I'm not just a magician, I'm an interpreter of Reality.
Underground, above ground, whatever. I don't need a label, thanks. |

Diavo - You have a point... but I think we'll be safe... as long as Mark Burnett stays away from it!

FISM was on US televison in the 1970s. Bill Bixby showed a half hour of FISM each Saturday in his Wonderful World of Magic show.

Hey Guys,
I remember watching those Wonderful World of Magic show on TV during the early 70's. That's where my interest in magic started. Listed below are the performer for the FISM 2006 France Broadcast...
