>> NO WAY! The last guy I let shuffle suffered a life threatening paper cut!
>> Have you been properly trained in card shuffling? >> Are you union? >> Sure, just keep them in the same order you found them. >> Here's one I use to do in high school, it takes too long to do at a show, but I still think it's funny.: "Take the cards and put them in order, Ace to King, and in their proper suites." - Spectator does so. Then you put the cards away and do a coin trick. >> For the guy that KEEPS hassling you: Palm out a Jack, then hand the cards to him saying, "Remove the four Jacks and place them on the table." He goes through the deck two or three times unable to find the palmed Jack and comments, "I can't find one." Magician follows with, "So you admit it! You're a Jack off!"

Triumph! Nice idea. Just start doing the trick as you start the story. I like that.

By the way: Does anyone know where to find a copy of "Outs, precautions and challenges for ambitious card workers" by Charles Hopkins?

Didn't read all the comments, so it may have passed up before, but I think the right answer to this questions would be: Yes, of course you can can shuffle the cards, but you' re not to allowed to.
