I see 100% of the videos on Youtube using the first method which is the one where the spectator picks a card.
Im thinking about purchasing the effect but I really don't think the 1st method is something I would use. I like the 2nd method which is when the person writes the name of someone they care about on a business card. Is that method difficult because not a single youtube person was using it so I figured maybe their was difficulty with it? |

The method with the name just requires one extra step, and some good presentation, but I would say the difficulty on a scale of 1 to 10 is probably a 4.

I would say the DVD is worth buying just for the business card explantion.

The second method is not hard to do, and you will also be able to use the technique for method 2 for other stuff so def get the effect.

Hm, The business card version is the one I use the most. I also occasionally use the playing-card one. I am having a lot of problems with the last method. I find it the hardest by far.

I use method 2 (business card reveal) exclusivley and have had great reactions with it. Unlike card effects where the audience is primed to believe that "something" is being manipulated, it is harder for them to believe that you could predict a random person's name or thing that exists only in the specs mind.
Now, I do not prefer to use the reveal with Stigmata technique, but use it with an ash pen. Just my preference, but I agree with Joey Stalin that the dvd's explanation of the business card reveal alone, and seeing WH perform it, is worth the price of the video. Bob |

I use method #2 as well... the only one I have ever used in fact. I don't use cards explicitly so I like to intersperse effects that don't need them. I've found that #2 gives me the most jaw-dropping reaction and don't think it's a hard thing to perform at all.
Method #1 may be used by more people because they are so used to doing it. And method #3, IMO, is pretty difficult to pull off. #2 was the one I chose because the spec is coming up with someone's name that you have most likely never heard of and I LOVE the idea of using the business card - not only as advertisement of yourself, but also the method within the method. |

I also agree that the 2nd method is the best one.
it will take a day of practice to master it. I don't think that anyone had trouble learning it. good luck! -Matt

If you are interested in Stigmata, please go buy it out of respect to Wayne. The method is not hard to figure out once you have watched a presentation on YouTube, but personally, I would never be able to come up with such a powerful routine on my own if it was not for him or Bernard Shaw.
Stigmata is sick. Use your favorite mentalism technique to extract or implant information, be it method #2 as you call it, center tear, hacking into the hosts computer, Kenton's methods of forcing thoughts, whatever. I personally recommend Corinda's book on the subject. The more personal the info the better. I personally don't recommend playing cards or seemingly magical objects. You can force the next train moving, ask them to think about a secret fantasy or a recent dream. People start shaking, some cry. It is personal, emotional, and close-up. That's magic at its best. |

I used Method 2 just today; easy as pie for me. Get Stigmata, every close-up magician should add this to his/her act.

Stigmata is one of my favorite tricks to do on the spot, and I only use method 2. In fact, I just did it a couple hours ago at Kohl's. It drew a pretty good crowd, and a man actually cursed in front of his kids. I've been doing it for awhile. It's well worth the money for method 2, and if you have Electric Touch, it makes it a heck of a lot cooler!!!
