The description is here. http://www.colinrosemimc.co.uk/magic_sho......onic.htm
I think the method is fairly obvious to any magician.

It's not too difficult to add a "chop gimmick" to this set. I have a friend who did just that and it's quite a combination!

I have performed this a handful of times for friends in my home bar. As Bill pointed out the method is fairly obvious to magicians. Upon receiving it I found it to be designed just as I had imagined it would be.
That said, everytime I've performed it for guests I've gotten good solid reactions expressing their enjoyment and astonishment. I like this effect, it is certainly well made, and plays well in a bar environment. Because of the nature of the kickers involved in the prediction you are limited to the Gin, Tonic, and Lemon ending. I wish they had included a second or third set-up like a rum coke lemon or vodka tomato juice lime. Or sold them as an extra. Obviously this would allow for repeat performances through out the night without the force being exposed. |

If you have a computer printer and a lamination machine (which are not very expensive) you can do exactly what you need to do very quickly.

I should have thought of giving that a try. Thanks Bill.

Now this novel apparatus is coming already "chopped". The newer Fruit & Nuts seems more practical with more going on... In any case, his company's woodcrafting is beautiful.

Just an idea for anyone who has this effect. I wasn't really happy with the drink cards that came with the trick. So I worked on a force out of a cocktail recipe book.
Later I found and bought a deck of specialty playing cards with drink recipes on each card. And it contains a card for a Gin and Tonic. They are called Cocktail Cards playing cards by Inkstone Design, INC. of Missoula, Montana. I think the deck improves the look of the trick and certainly looks normal as opposed to the provided cards with the names of various liquor printed on them. |

If you check out my web site, you'll see the force deck that I created for this. I always get a great reaction from this effect. Especially at "happy hour".

Excellent choice, Mitch. They look great. I love it when someone adds their "own touch".
