I just wish that people who release stuff like this would please stop insulting our intelligence like used car salesmen.
The one post wonders who shill for this stuff as if it is a new idea. It reminds me of the guy who used to sell used cars on TV in Chicago. First off I wouldn't buy a car from him without looking for a body in the trunk. Second of all every month he is on TV claiming he "bought too many cars, lots have to go". EVEY MONTH. Is this guy an idiot? It is insulting that the new users do the infomercials. Oh and another thing. I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE who had questions Keith, but you come after me. You have a spacific problem with me settle it via PM, then I can ignore it. BUT you had better address EVERYONE who said something negative prior to addressing me next time. Or your nothing but a guy with a personal problem, not a point. Oh and Keith, NOBODY makes an ISSUE of what their position was prior to working. Scott made it an issue, all we did was consider it. I will say he writes great ad copy.

Hi Danny -
I asked you what your point was. You stated it (kind of). If you could please show me where I "came at you", I'd apreciate it. Asking you to clarify is not an attack like your line, "I hope this synopsis keeps you from the obvious trouble you are having readinig all the posts." Good to hear you are very busy 5 nights a week. Then you'd be familiar (much as Doc, myself, and others are) with the many hours of down time spent in hotel rooms with not much to do after your business is done between gigs. That's where/when I wrote my "magic" product. You seem to have a very stern tone in many of your posts, and seeing as I have yet to see anyone attack you, I can't imagine why. Couldn't one say the same about you in regards to experience...? If you are a hypnotist... how does that qualify you to give magic advice? Just using the same argument principle you have used about Scott... This is NOT "coming at you"... Keith

Keith is this thread about ME or is it about this marketing DVD Scott put out.
I love the part when people make it about others and their opinion. As for magic. Why it matters I have NO idea but if you insist. I was taught by Charlie Schulien. At Schuliens. I was 19 when he taught me. I didn't work up to getting there, I was taught there. I worked with Charlie, Heba and a host of others at Schuliens. I worked with Jay Marshall at Magic Inc. for 10 years, so the marketing and merits of magic props and courses is something I have a vague idea about. Never did a stage illusion show, only comedy club shows. I learned the hypnosis show about 18 years ago as an "extra stream of income", and right now I am busier doing that than the magic.I found out quite frankley I got paid better to do it. When we moved to Branson to do the show that was the one we did. Now in Mexico I don't live in a hotel, the company has an apartment for each entertainer. Off season we will do 4 days on and 3 at home. Now that is broad strokes, how does THAT help anyone decide either way about the offering here on this thread? Oh and when exactly did I say a word one way or the other about YOUR products? Quite frankley if it is about festivals, there is painfully little written about that highley lucrative market and how to get to it. I think it is a void to be filled.

I wasn't sure. That's why I was asking you. You seemed to imply that it did matter in regards to Mr. Davis in an above post. Re: Oh and when exactly did I say a word one way or the other about YOUR products? I never said you did. Re: I think it is a void to be filled. Thanks, it is! Hence why I wrote about it. Well see it DOES matter once someone starts selling things wouldn't you agree?
Had you personally had zip experience in festival markets, how could you write about it? When you ask for money for ideas, yea your background is in question. I am happy to see the void being filled. I have no interest in doing festivals any more but will buy your products so as to be able to recomend them to others who may need to be directed in that direction. I did them for quite a while, and actually speak "carney" LOL. There is a formula for booking LOTS of festivals. Well 2 actually. One involves lots of money and conventions, the other clever thinking. I will order and anxiously await the arrival of your books!

I have Keith's book on Festival marketing. Got it last year and tried it for a short time, but as it was already into festival season I was a real late comer. Have been following Keith's marketing plan this month and have already had success.
As Danny mentioned, one way to book festivals is clever thinking and this is what Keith teaches. I've put a lot of time into this campaign but very little up front money thanks to what I learned from Keith's book. Peter |

Actually I have booked festivals for many years, and really don't do them any more.
BUT the fact is that it takes less up front money than most other venues, and the return on investment is very high. Keith has this correct! Just this assertion is true so I imagine the rest of the book is right on too.

Hey Keith
A friend of mine bought me a copy of your book for my Birthday and I just want to say it is awsome! Its one of the best sources I've found on working Fairs/Festivals. Thanks a lot for making it available and keep us posted on any new books or projects. By the way, My goal is 50 Fairs/Festivals by Oct. 2007! I've already booked two so 48 to go! Thanks again! Ted go for it. =)
My wife and I have done the festival and fair market exclusively for the past 10 years now and have loved every minute of it. It certainly is a different animal all together as is any new market, but there is a lot to make in this market and my wife and I perform festivals and fairs from March all the way into November every single weekend. I wish you all the success and if you have any questions, always feel free to PM me. I would be happy to help if I can. You may also want to check out a thread I started a long while back on Festivals and Fairs. There was so much sharing going on in that thread and I think it actually reached 13 pages of information. You can probably do a search to find it as I think it was in the Tricky Business section if I recall. We really talked a lot about festivals and fairs and working them and had a lot of great questions asked and answered as others chimed in as well. It may be of help to you. Kyle Kyle
