If you wanted to play a few rounds of poker (5 or 6) and win them all what sort of technique would you use?
Personally, I would do a deck s**** but I'd love to hear other's thoughts. |

Well, let's think about this...
Hand 1) Cooler on the cut when someone else shuffles. 2) Since you are not shuffling or dealing for a couple of rounds you choice is limited to holding out, switching cards or using a marked deck. 3) When it comes your turn to deal, then you can stack, deal seconds, bottoms, etc. etc. So, if you wanted to win 5-6 hands in a row (or at least improve your odds to win), then you must hold-out/swicth or use a marked deck when you did the cooler. Any other thoughts ?

How about taking the deck before the game starts and control an ace to the top. then when dealing for who gets the first deal give the ace to the guy to your left. when he passes to you for the cut do the secret move and have it set so you take them all out on the first round

Papermechanic,
Sure that will work...but, I think his challenge was for 5-6 hands. If I am toying with cards before the demonstration, I would rather switch for a marked deck or if you don't have a pre-marked matching deck of cards, you can start marking some cards in play by using nail nicks, waving, daub or juice dust. It would be a lot faster to pre-mark several decks of different back designs. Then when you know what deck is being used...you get your duplicate pre-marked deck from the car or your pocket and switch. Sometimes people switch out the marked deck near the end of the gambling demonstration so the audience is not left with your marked deck

I should provide some more information...
As a part of my ongoing role on the TV show Today Tonight (tabloid current affairs program) I have been requested to run a crooked poker game. I can choose the players, the game, the venue, EVERYTHING. I could even deal every hand if I wanted. I have total freedom so long as a) it is not time consumming and b) I win! I thought it might be fun to use a partner and have HIM win. Thoughout the game, I get more and more embarrased that I am not winning. When I finally lose, I reveal that the winner is in fact my partner. It would make a nice twist for the TV show. |

Well at least that makes it more possible. When I read your original post, I thought you would deal a hand, then pass the deal and still win each of the 5 or 6 hands, with a different dealer and different person cutting the cards each time. Not so easy.
If you can deal each and everytime, you should be able to do it fairly easily. Giving someone else the winning hands should be no problem. I'd use various culling and stacking techniques, along with bottom dealing, and the use of one or more coolers. To make it intresting for TV. I may also suggest playing a little Black Jack and demo some cheating techniques such as a peek and a second deal along with setting up the needed cards to make a 21 and rolling the deck when it came time to deal them to myself.

Sorry guys - I thought if I called it a demonstration then people would start mentioning their favourite poker deals or gambling routines.
