FIrst off I am not sure where this should go so I will put it here and let the mods put it were they want it.
So I did a show the other day and a little girl asked me for my autograph. I have never had this happen before and this brought to my eyes the fact that I don't have a signature. I also have no clue how to create one. Could someone help me on how to create a signature, or a place that could teach me. Thanks alot! -Aaron |

I am a bit confused myself. A signature really is just how you sign your stage name is all. Or are you looking at being able to write something a bit more fancy or creative? Like creating a certain look or wording or style that sets you apart?

I have the same question. My signature is really bad, how do you come up with a fancy way to write your name quickly?

It took me a few days to create mine. I just keep signing the name in different ways and see which one I like best. It is a matter of personal choice. And this took many many sheets of paper before I found the right one.
I guess you have to find one you like. And to do so, you have to keep on writing ... until something strikes you. |

Try to make one which suits your performance style and character. If you have a "Dark" performance style, create an eerie, dark signature. If your a comedy magician, make your signature funny or light. This all helps to "Brand" yourself and make you stand out from the crowd.

As James said, you just have to work it out on paper.
I did this 50 years ago and finally liked one so much I created a whole new cursive style for myself based on it. Now I have two ways to write and sign my name and have to keep in mind which one is my legal signature. Maybe this means I have a split personality! Andy

...I agree, just jot away on paper different ideas...
Criss Angels is a big C and A written together on top of each other... David Copperfields is also similar with a quick DC scribble... speaking of that, when I saw him for the first time in '91' he would sign autographs after the show, and they had all these signs up saying that David Copperfield was in Ripleys Believe it or Not because he had signed more autographs than Burger King had sold Burgers... "food for thought" ;o)
...for the 51st time... that is NOT my card...

Hi, Aaron,
I've attached my magical signature; I freely adapted (took) the rabbit in the hat design from a Ripley's B or No book on Magic and Magicians I got when I was about 8. I'm not the best artist, and I usually need to bang out quite a few of these quickly, but I think everyone gets the idea. I hope this helps, Brian Click here to view attached image. |

I have been using this as a signature:
I actually got it designed by http://www.signinstyle.com (this was before you had to pay for them to design it for you!) They also made me these: Ste |
