This almost impromptu handling of the moving hole effect by Masao Atsukawa is found in the 1969 September issue of Genii.

That looked pretty good to me. But by "almost impromptu" do you mean that piece of paper (or whatever if was) is set up or gimmicked? If it is then it isn't really impromptu. Still, I'm not concerned about impromptu magic very often when I work, so it was still great to me!

I don't believe the paper is gimmicked at all

Thank you msc455magic from Taipei for the link! It is obvious how it is done and I will take it in my (almost) impromptu repertoire! Moreover I want to say, the performance in youtube is brillant!
Best regards from wonderful Vienna! Angelo |

Second for Mike Close...still working on getting the handling just right, but it's worth every bit of effort.

In addition to Mike Close's Pothole effect, "Unholy Gathering" by Paul Wilson is also a great moving hole plot effect worth checking out!

By the way, this effect isn't from 5x5. It's from one of the past issues of Genii. ^^
