I think this should have come with a manual or something and it did'nt!
Im a bit ticked off. Does anyone have a pdf or something with some instructions on how to get some tricks out of this deck? Looks like I'm a victim of a poor ebayer who neglected to tell me no instructions came with. |

Boris Wild's book on his marked deck contains a really nice effect with a marked deck plus an invisible deck.

Excellent guys. I got it squared away. I just needed to know the order to organize them.
Quick question...which card do you use on top and bottom? I seem to have 3 that came with this deck that are not "roughed". |

You could just rough them. Mine are roughed in pairs.

The invisible deck is one of the strongest single pieces of magic. Don Alan played it for comedy, some play it for weird/bizarre, some for esp, etc. If your used deck is not working properly, I highly suggest buying a brand new one. Then work with it for a while to get it working smoothly. The most often called cards are AS and QH. They happen to back each other, so I suggest them no to choose the AS because that is the most often mentioned card. Have fun with all your magic.
You have to give it away to keep it.

You'll pay more for "roughing spray" from a magic store/site, but you could order it online. Also, many magic stores/sites carry booklets on 101 tricks with the invisible deck.

Yeah, better to buy the spray from a hardware store and use it to make a bazillion decks, not just invisible decks but other interesting effects you can try to make up on your own.

Yes, the deck is so cheap I just don't want to spend the time to make them myself.
Many amazing things to do with an Invisible Deck. Hang around with one long enough and ideas (the simpler the better) will start coming to you. One particular routine is an extra in my SCORING WITH THE TAROT eBook. Here is an edited version: This is going to sound overly simplistic, but when I was single I used it often, and the da*n thing worked! I broke a lot of ice with this! Not to mention a few hearts! You see a girl you want to get to know better, you tell her you’re very observant (women like observant men) and say you have a deck of cards on you because you were playing poker or doing magic for some friends over there ... any good excuse you can find. Tell her that while you were observing her from afar, you turned one single card over in the deck of cards you now hold in your hands. And just by being extra observant you can almost tell what card in the deck she’s likely to think of. You tell her you may miss, but we’ll see. At this point you tell her you want her to think of a playing card and to hold that card in her mind. While this is going on, you have a chance to look at her beautiful face for a good while, observing her eyes ... her lips ... getting a lot of eye contact ... intimacy ... finally you ask her what the card is and she reveals. You smile bond-like and gently retrieve the cards showing her that the only card turned over is the card she had been thinking of. She should be amazed! You tell her in this short time, you’ve observed many special things about her, and if she permits, you’d like to try this experiment again over lunch tomorrow.... I saw Sankey's "Firestarters" the other day and it also has an interesting routine with the I.D.. Have Fun!

Although its true the decks are pretty cheap, repairing an invisible deck is quick and painless. I suppose you probably don't keep roughing spray around, but I've been getting more and more interested in making my own gaffs and I found roughing spray to be a cheap starter. Its fun to start mixing effects like Svengali and roughed cards. That's particular to a small number of folks perhaps, but I still think repairing a new deck is quick and easy.

Repairing is one thing, making a whole new one, not my bag. I'd rather buy. My time is worth money too.

HobbyTron.com has invisible decks (Bicycle) for $5.50. It's hard to make your own at that price.

As a side note, I use Don Alan's setup with the Invisible Deck. There's no math involved at all. That relieves me to concentrate on presentation.

Sankey has an effect named "X" that uses an ID.
It is on his dvd secret files volume 2 - effect #2 on the disk. spec thinks of a card and that card is the only one with an x on it. or that card is the only one without a x on it. hopefully I haven't said too much.... W//
I am a Sankey addict....please, help me!
