Cleaned out some of my desk drawers today full of old magic stuff and came across a deck of cards that was set up as follows: the first half was blue backed, the second half was red backed; each half contained first two jokers, then spades, diamonds, clubs and hearts in order (6 or 7 cards of each suit). The values of these suits were identical and identically ordered in each half.
I have a vague memory of setting up this deck several years ago after reading an Alex Elmsley or Paul Curry book (or maybe Stewart James), but can't seem to find the trick. I think it was a pretty good effect, but I have no idea what it was. Will someone please help? Thanks!
