Do any of you have totally separate ads, web sites, business cards, etc. for each genre of magic that you perform?
This question is prompted by the thought that Document Examiners, who are also Graphoanalysts, almost all have separate material for each activity. This lends more credibility in testifying situations. So if you, for example, are both a birthday party performer and a corporate event performer, should you/do you advertise each service separately? Does one genre tend to impact the credibility of another? Thanks, Jim |

Yes.
I have http://www.funnybones.com.au for kid's shows and http://www.conman.com.au for adults. Different name, different business cards, different costumes, different acts, and different marketing. |

John Cooper has lots of different websites, as well. He has posted some info and reasoning about this on here. I have different marketing for different groups - sometimes they overlap, sometimes they do not - depends on my goals.

If someone is looking for a trade show entertainer, I feel he would be put off if I sent him info on children's b'day parties included in the trade show pack. He might feel you can be great at one thing, but if you're doing 3 or 4 things, you'll screw them all up. |

Yep...different materials for each type of program. It's something I learned from Karrell Fox; he used to see himself as the booking agent for all his personas (Milky the Clown, W.C. Fields, Karrell the Magician, Karrell the Mentalist/Hypnotist, etc.)
