I never read the book, but I imagine that it will surely add to the movie watching experience.

[/quote] Ah.......... That could work......... Him hearing Bordon under the stage.... though the theater would be loud with a lot of goings on......... after all his blind stage hands were also below stage. But, What about that padlock!?!?!?!?!? The magic machine is always creating a "dupe" - and the original always gets drowned. The machine teleports the "dupe" to another location, where he can appear magically.

It's a long way from Jareth and The Labyrinth, too.
Kinda shows my age, don't it? Carrie |

What twin (or individual)in their "right mind" would agree to be sent to the gallows in order to save his brothers... not LIFE... but "Show"???? Preposterous! As was the idea of one brother allowing his two fingers to be chopped off with only a pint of drink in him... I take that back... if he (the brother) was willing to go to the gallows to sav ehis other brother's show, perhaps he woudl be willing to let his fingers be chopped off as well... sort of as a prelude or "warm-up" to the grande finale. Or, perhaps they struck a deal with one another... "I'll chop of my two fingers if you'll go to the gallows... " ... and towards the very end of the film. just "how" did the "one" dropped lantern falling to the ground turn into a dozen or more mini fires, so symmetrically laid out along the path towards the Transportation machine... it created a stunning visual, yes... but made no sense? This being said I enjoyed the overall film ... up to a point. I liked the characters, their inner drives, very believable (well cast, in my opinion). As for the illusionist, I enjoyed it as a light romance film, but found the who done it" to be too predictable too early on. Jonathan

At the risk of showing MY age, I think Bowie's finest moment was The Man who fell to Earth.
I quite liked the Prestige - felt sorry for the poor woman holding the bird cage though...
