Anyone has this?
Care to comment? Gorgeous, precision magic that can be performed anytime, anywhere! The performer begins by displaying a small chrome-plated metal box. The top half is slid open revealing a clock face and small dial. Attached to the dial is a knob that allows the dial to be set to any hour of the day. Stepping aside with his back turned away, the performer requests that the spectator select any hour of the day and turn the dial to that hour. The spectator does so and then closes the door which completely covers the clock face (there is NO way to see the clock face once that door is closed). HOWEVER, without having to see the clock face, the performer INSTANTLY reveals the selected time! It's that quick. It's that simple. The Wonder Clock is hand crafted to perfection and the best part about it is that it's ideal for the close-up/walkaround performer, measuring a mere 2 1/2" tall and packing a WALLOP! For the discriminating walkaround mentalist who insists on the very best, the Wonder Clock packs small and plays BIG!

It is well made but very small about 1 1/4 by 2 1/4 and thus the gimmick is virtually impossible to read, at least for me. You need good light to see it so if your going to be working where the light is bad firget it.
It is a wonderfully clever mechanical prop, I just wish they had made it the size of the original ones I saw.

I agree, it is very well made. I did however need to lubricate the "door" with a little white grease. Due to its size, I use it as an impromptu piece. I was sitting at the service department, waiting for my car, the other day, and I started "playing" with the clock. A gentleman next to me became interested, and I began my patter about it being a test for ESP. After a few minutes, I ended up booking a coctail party with his firm. Packs small, plays big? Not REAL big, but hey, it came in handy and I'll definitely recoup the price of the clock.
I would recommend it. Craig Wilson |

I bought Wonder CLock at the big convention in Blackpool recently and I love this little clock. I recommend it very well.
The picture of the clock is very big, the clock is much smaller in reality... http://www.magicmakersinc.com/wonderclock.htm |

I have one of these in my box of props. At the time I bought it I wasn't able to come up with a good story for why I would have this little clock device. I admit that I am not as creative as most of you here.

I was very lucky to come across a larger wooden version at a junk sale last year.
I ask someone to set the clock and close the door. I tell the story of my grandfather who used to keep racing pigeons. On a Saturday he would set the dial on the clock to the estimated arrival time of the pigeons, and then head off to the local hostelry. When my grandmother returned home from her morning job she would look at the clock, and know when to have grandfathers' meal ready. He would return at the appropriate time to eat and await the birds. On this particular day he never came for his meal. It seems he had suffered a heart attack at the bar. As fortune is inclined to do on such occasions, this day his birds won in all three race cattegories, but he never had the chance to enjoy his victory. I tell them that people who have strong ESP abilities can sometimes subconciously know what time the clock was set at on that fateful day. I tell them the time, and watch their faces go pale. Then slide the door open a sit back. Steve |
