I had the honor of attending the three day Card College Seminar taught by Roberto Giobbi and Lennart Green before the World Magic Seminar 2007 last week in Las Vegas. The card college was a tremendous experience and worth every penny. Spending three days with both Roberto and Lennart has kicked my card skills up to the next level and boosted my enthusiasm and confidence up ten-fold. If you every get a chance to be tutored or attend a lecture with either of these gentleman, don't miss it.
Both Lennart and Roberto's styles are so different that they made a perfect combination. They were both so professional and respectful of the students and shared every bit of knowledge that we had time for. They shared effects, presentation styles, theory, practice techniques, you name it, and it was covered at some level. Roberto is extremely organized and just as his books are amazingly detailed, so is his instruction. He is a master at weaving a story and will have you just as spellbound while performing an effect as while he explains it. And oh yes, he is funny too. Lennart on the other hand is more casual and likes to surprise you out of left field. As soon as you think you know what is going on, Lennart will do some incredible feat and you are left scratching your head. He is also incredibly funny and friendly. You must see him perform at least once. I honestly had some reservations about signing up for this card college because of the cost. Coming out of it, I have not a single regret. I can only give the highest of recommendations for both of these magicians. I'm so grateful I had the opportunity to work with them both. |
