Has anyone seen the great impromptu tricks on Daryl's "Fooler Doolers" DVDs? He has several that are great!
He does a "Mystery of the Traveling Marbles" by Silent Mora with everyday objects that will knock your socks off. Really first class stuff. Another good one is "As Many and As Much As You" that's pretty clever. I'd encourage anyone looking for some strong impromptu tricks to check out this gold mine. |

I'd recommend the Fooler Dooler's videos to anyone new or just starting magic. Tricks are well thought out and explained very well. Most of the tricks are old time classics with methods all magicians should learn. They're not in your face or jazz magic, just good old fashion tested tried and true mysteries. He also tries to give credit where credit is due, to the originators of most of the tricks which gave me incentive to research these creators and learn more of their work.

Yes I share your opinion.
I saw the as many as much as you in a B. Richardson book or am I wrong ?

Yes it is in Barry's book, but I do like the thinking that Daryl put into it -- it is worth checking out.

The "Cup and Ball" routine is very good too, as impromptu, with a cup, a bill (the ball) and a knife (the wand).

Is the magic in Foolers Doolers real beginners stuff or is there more meaty stuff in there too?
|
Bill Veteran user and Pretty Nice Guy 373 Posts |
I don't know what you mean by "meaty". They aren't all for beginners but none are what I'd consider advanced. I made up a packet trick he does called "Backflip" and it's a KILLER! Most are very good, and many can be done impromptu.

His explanation of both Tenkai's Decapitation and Ropes Through Body are superb. Moveless Miracle is a goodie as well.
Not to mention that he is a superb teacher and seems to be a nice guy as well. And I only have Volume 2! Lee Darrow, C.Ht. http://www.leedarrow.com
