I think Sheepshead may be the easiest game in the world to cheat.

1. You are only using 32 cards. Makes bottom dealing simple.

2. You don't even have to bottom deal. You can work it so the dealer gets the last two or three cards. (all the cards are dealt out)

3. With the simplest runups you can give yourself a Gramdma hand anytime you want to.

There probably isn't one guy here who plays Sheeps, but what are some other games that are basically asking for it, and why?

I've killed people playing Speed. It's amazing how many times I've pulled an Ace or King on the showdown. Also, War is a lopsided affair when I'm involved.
One time, when I was young, I botched a sleight so bad, Vernon, Marlo & Miller rolled over in their graves. But I didn't see Elmsley, probably because he was behind the others.

Well in spain and here in argentina there's a game called "Escoba del 15" and its pretty easy the idea is that each card has some value, you put 4 cards face up in the table and give each player 3 cards per round, and with one card from your hand an several cards from the table you need to pick up cards until you get 15.

When you're out of cards from your hand, you start dealing 3 cards again until you run out of cards in the deck. It's easy to cheat becouse you can pick up 14 and then pick up 16 and any regular person cannot hardly notice that. You can cheat that way without any sleight of hand, and of course you can use some bottoms, centers or seconds, in order to give you proper cards an cards into the table according to the rules of the game.

I've won my son's allowance dozens of times playing Go Fish and Rummy and other card games. The boy has never quite learned how to protect his cards, and I usually see everything he's holding.

So it's not the game. It's your opponent. Playing for money against 7 year-olds is as close to a sure thing as you can get.

Well one thing is the Blind rule. Which was cool if you knew what cards you were dealing to yourself before dealt them. The whole game was easy. In some games they never even shuffled the deck ever. It is still played for a lot of money in some places. But its pretty rare compared to what it was.

How to play 3 Card Brag
3 Card Brag is an old English card game, usually played for money. It has similarities to poker, but is much older, and also simpler to play.
The game uses a standard 52 card pack. The cards are ordered in the traditional manner, that is to say Ace, King, Queen, Jack, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.
There are variations of 3 Card Brag, but all versions require players to have three cards. Players can use one or more of their three cards to create a hand. Hands include a pair, three of a kind (also known as a prial), run ( straight ), flush, running flush, or a simple high card. For full details of hands and their rankings see here.
A prial, or three of a kind, is a special case. For all other hands the highest value wins. For example, a pair of aces beats a pair of kings, or a run of ace, king, queen beats 10, 9, 8. However, the highest ranking prial is three threes, then followed by three aces, three kings, etc.
As mentioned above, 3 Card Brag is predominantly a gambling game, and is played as follows.
Before playing everyone agrees an ante. The ante is the minimum amount a player has to pay to play. For our purposes here let's suppose the ante is £2. Players also need to agree the minimum and maximum bets allowed.
Players are then dealt three cards each face down.
Starting with the player to the left of the dealer players are given an opportunity to bet.
One of the unique aspects of 3 Card Brag is that players can chose not to look at their cards. If a player looks at their cards they are said to be playing "seen". Alternatively players who have yet to check their cards are said to be playing "blind". The advantage of playing blind is that the player only has to bet half as much.
A player can look at their cards before deciding if they wish to bet. So each player has the following options: bet blind, look at their cards, bet seen or fold.
There is only one round of betting in 3 Card Brag. However a round can take a long time as betting continues until there are only two players left or the maximum bet has been reached.

I think texas hold em is really easy to cheat and given how many people think they know how to play and love to gamble I find it pretty good money as well

I like this question, but in a way, I don't really have an answer, that is to say, not to the question as you asked it. Yet, this is my first post here and I thought this would be a great way to say hi to everyone.

The easiest game to cheat, in my opinion, is the one you're in. From this perspective, the game doesn't really matter, it's more what you have to offer and the chances you're willing to take. Personally, regarding chances and such, the secret is playing literally 100% authentically, that is to say, to truly be oneself, then, there is no pressure and nothing for others to even suspect when you wiggle your nose at the cards.

Five Card Draw happens to be my game. Unfortunately there’s not many games of Draw here in England anymore. When I was younger 5 Card Draw was one the main games.

We used to play a variation using a “Strip Deck” which is a deck with all the low cards removed lets say: 234567s all removed. That meant better hands and more action in the game. The Ace counted as a 7 in a straight or an Ace. So you could have a A.8.9.10. J for a bottom straight or 10. J. Q. K.A . It’s mathematically easier to get a Full House than a Flush in such a game and so a Flush would beat a Full House. Apart from that it’s just the same game as 5 Card Draw.
There were a couple things that made this variation a little easier to cheat. One was, on the Draw the dealer or last one to draw cards would often be drawing the last cards left in the pack. In other words those cards were often the bottom cards that he was drawing!

Philosophically speaking, I guess this is a good answer. Practically speaking...well.

I mean, yeah I guess it's hard to cheat a game that you aren't playing in. Just as you can't win the lottery without buying a ticket. But some people have different skill sets and do some things better than others. And certain games lend themselves to certain skill sets.

This entire discussion is academic anyway, so I guess Lilys answer is as good as any other I've seen so far.

Hey Vandy,

It's so nice to meet you. You know, you've really given me a lot to think about, thank you.

Getting back to my answer, I guess that any of us only really know that which we do, thus, from that perspective, it's what we share in a question like that.

For me, I just find such joy in the manipulation of the cards themselves during a game of poker or even during practice, so it really doesn't matter to me when I apply such skills.

Of course, during real play, that's when the fire is hot and that makes it so much more real, bringing a sense of clarity and depth to the experience that I just ride fully.

I'll think more about what you said. And perhaps next time, I can do better in my answers. Thank you again for your insights and kindness.

The funniest and easiest card cheating I ever saw was something that was going on at a Lions' Club get together in Uvalde Texas about an hour after I did a show for them.

We had been invited back to their club house for bar-be-cue and beer. I was sitting at a table off to one side, when I saw a local hustler playing a really strange game of cards with some of the other guys. Here's how it worked. Everyone would bet a quarter. Then the hustler would deal out a card to each one of them. Whoever got the highest card won. They were all standing around a card table playing the game. They were also drinking large quantities of beer.

The cheat was very simple. The hustler held the cards in his right hand in something like a Biddle grip. He would glimpse the bottom card of the deck while the cards from the previous hand were being placed aside. He dealt with his left hand, by bringing his left fingers under the deck and his thumb over the deck. He was very loose in his movements. This, combined with the odd dealing method, made dealing the bottom card of the deck almost impossible for the guys at the table to spot.

I spotted it, because I saw the Ace of Spades on the bottom of the deck right before he dealt it to himself. I told my assistant to watch the deal. I said, "He's going to get the Ace of Spades this time." A couple of seconds later, they all shouted as he dealt himself the ace.

The funny part of this was that they knew he was cheating. They didn't care. It was their way of keeping him from turning to some other kind of crime that was more violent!

John Scarne used to claim that cheating at bridge was the easiest way to make a living, and was a lot more common than anyone realized. Part of the Bridge cheat's armor was the fact that it was seen mostly as an upper class game, and the marks were far to polite and well mannered to accuse anyone of cheating.
I don't know if it's still true today, but I do know there's a lot more more bridge being played than anyone realizes, and it's mostly being played by people with money.
