Hi all,
For those interested in promoting their services and their websites, I'm just creating a new worldwide directory for magicians. (Yes...I know, yet another one!) It is, however, free for anyone wishing to enter their details and will remain free. It just requires a link back to the site on your website. Check it out at http://www.magician-directory.com/ Regards, Bonz |

Thanks, guys. I'm glad you liked it, and I appreciate your kind comments.
It's going to be a lot of hard work if it gets popular, but it's a hobby and gets my face around a bit, too. Bonz |

WOW.... I live in Canada and didn't even know that the Country of England was located within Canada's borders... LOL.

Hey Bonz:
Your site states that you want a link back to your site, but you don't seem to provide anything for us to use? Chris |

It's a great site, but you've listed Australia and Tasmania as separate. Tasmania is a state of Australia.

Thanks all for your comments. I'm taking them all into account and updating them as I go.
Eventually it'll be right, and everyone will be happy!! Bonz Quote:

I noticed in the UK you have included Dave Bonsall in your listings, which is an excellent choice.

I thought so too, Zak. I was thinking of including him elsewhere, too!!!

I regret that my version only works in the US, so I'm glad there's something out there for everyone.
If you're from the USA and would like to add yourself, it's done by zip code... http://www.theambitiouscard.com/magisearch/?ref=magisearch The application allows someone to type in their zip code and requests all magicians within a given radius. Let me know what you think. Good job, Bonz, on the worldwide directory. Frank

A big thank you to all of you who have visited the site and entered your details. I've had a busy day entering all the info, and it's all uploaded now. I have taken on board all your comments and suggestions, and hopefully made it a better site.
If you haven't already done so, please make sure that you link back to the site in some way, even if it's just a tiny link somewhere in the corner. For the directory to work and become highly ranked on Google and other search engines, everyone will need to link back to it. Hopefully when there are lots of entries in the site and lots of links back to it, when someone types in the query in Google "magician in xxxxx", it will be at the top of the rankings and the magicians who live and perform in that area will get exposure they deserve. If anyone does have any suggestions for improvements on the site, please don't hesitate to contact me or post a comment here. Kind regards to all, Bonz |

The guy from the UK, you appear on the Aussie page. This may be good for the guy, but organisers don't like to see a UK magician on the Aussie page. They want to find Australian entertainers.
With regards to that guy's site, he may want to fix his links or have a site map off the first page. This will help his Google rating. |

As the person who created the site and will spend hours everyday updating it, my reward is to be on every page. I will always be at the bottom of the page (except near where I live). I will make sure that those performers local to area are at the top and performers from outside of that area are at the bottom. I understand that bookers will want local, but some may have a big budget and want to fly someone in. It's unlikely, but it does happen. I've been lucky enough to perform abroad quite a bit and would like to do so more, so maximum exposure is my reward. You never know when that phone call from Outer Mongolia might just come in!! Anyone who advertises on the site does get a choice of 5 pages/areas to be listed on. They can choose any area in the world, and many who have advertised have already done that, especially the big illusionists. I guess I could put a clear divider on each page, stating something like "The performers listed below are not from this area, or even country, but are available to perform in your area," or something like that. What do you think? Does anybody have any other suggestions? ...all are welcome. Bonz |

Thanks, TheDean, it is a mammoth undertaking with over 160 pages to edit.
------------------------------------------------------------------------ Well, again, I've taken on-board previous comments and divided each page in 2. The first half will be the local performers, and underneath there is a section of performers from elsewhere who are willing to perform in that area. (...yes, me included!!) Any other comments are greatly appreciated. |
