I'm trying to get into a floating ball/Zombie routine and I found the Kinetic Sphere. I have a couple questions.
1) What speed can this be performed at? Some of the demo's floating routines seemed joggy. 2) Is it worth getting? If you know a better floating ball routine that I could afford, , please tell me. I guess maybe what I'm really asking is am I better off getting a Losander Zombie ball, or getting a Kinetic Sphere? What can the KS do that the Zombie cannot? All the best, --Ryan |

You need to think about the character of your floating ball. When you do Zombie it is actually mime and puppetry that make it magic. You have more leeway with a foulard in what you can act out. But think about who your ball is, what the purpose of it's actions are, and how you want it to behave, then you'll have a better idea of what method to employ.
If you want to do a levitation without character, then I'd suggest a completely different style of trick, perhaps floating rose, or something else of a suspension nature. As soon as a levitation becomes animated, it takes on character and life (well, almost always, there are a couple of exceptions, Victor Voitko's floating linking rings spring to mind, and dancing cane can do, but often doesn't). Best of luck, Paul |

Thanks Paul! Also, thanks for your helpful posts on the Multiplying Balls.
You've really given me some things to think about. I had an act in mind for the Zombie that would seem to need the Kinetic Sphere. I was going to have a foulard routine, then remove the foulard and go into a short floating ball routine. That's a basic outline of what I was thinking. The character aspect that you mention is actually the first time it ever crossed my mind. Shows you how new I am to anything Stage related . It would be something that now I would spend a lot of time to create. The character. But to accomplish what I had in mind, I was wondering if the KS was a good buy. I wanted the ball to be very "free" when it gets to the foulard-less part of the act. All the best, --Ryan |

I'm glad to be of help,
There is a way to transition from Zombie to thread, how "free" the ball is depends on if you have off stage assistants or not. The tip is to buy a zombie ball that comes with a small hook on the top) or put one there yourself. But if you buy one with, the instructions will give you one of the ways in which you can hook it up solo. Paul |

Ryan:
I have seen some decent acts with the zombie ball on youtube.com. You may want to check it out and get some ideas from there. Good Luck Brian Horn Tropical Illusions Clearwater Beach, FL |

Does anyone know who sells Zombies with a hook?

Hello everyone, I am planning on buying the Kinetic Sphere but I was wondering if it is possible to do this trick without any type of hook-up. Also, does the internal reel system come with it? Because I saw the video of it and it said internal reel system and magnetic something..

We have sold tons of Kinetic Spheres and it would be nice to see some reviews or thoughts on the effect? Anyone?
