I know I've seen a post on this before, but don't know where or how to look specifically for it.

At any rate, how does one report a posting with a link in it that runs the post and all replies off to the right. Here is a post that has exactly that problem.

It drives me crazy to see this and makes reading any of the responses rather tedious.

Wasn't sure if this should go here or in the tech support forum. Sorry if it's in the wrong place.

Thanks for listening. It is greatly appreciated.

Clynim (and all),

A suggestion when posting REALLY long links - 'copy' the link you want to post. Then goto http://www.tinyurl.com and 'paste' the long link in the box provided. Click 'make tinyurl'. It will then make for you (and others who use this service) a much smaller and more manageable link for you to 'copy' and post. This just takes a few extra seconds and makes it nice for everyone.

Clynim, when you see a post that's extended, just use the report this post feature and we'll take care of.

For everyone, Cap'n Mike's suggetion will work but if you want to type directly in the forum, just follow the instructions in this link for URL's.

I really don't like tinyurl's. I'd rather know where I'm going first. Saves some hassles that way.

Thanks for the help, fella's. I'll take your suggestions to heart. We may not nip this "long url" problem in the bud, but I sure hope we can help stop its uncontrolled growth! Smile
