I have made a holy-moly coin(half dollars and quarters) set instead of the washers recomended and normally used. I find it more pratical because I always carry those coins. I never carry metal washers. I devised a routine that I can borrow the coins and give them out as a gift. I would like any feed back on my modification. If you like the idea and need a custom set, I can make them for you for about 5.00(usa).
Pm me if interested and please post feedback, lubdub

When I use the washer, which normally have holes, I mention that the reason I have them is that I was working on a home project. Also washers are used in my day job as well so all is well.
Holes in U.S. coins make less sense to me than carrying washers. Is there a reason for those holes? Maybe you could do a cigarette or pen thru coin and work with that and another holed coin that you did that trick with. just some thoughts. |

That I do, I do the cig thru coin in closeup illusions book, and go into this. I also justify the holes by doing coins thru pocket(as I patter about holes in my pockets) then I go into this(now I patter that the holes in my pockets are now in my money....I have holy money). I find it more pratical. I also think that previous routines would lead up to this. I have tried it and it does work. just my 2 cents(or 50 in this case ). Thankyou for your input though.
Best wishes, Jordan

They play into my tool challenged routine. My tool kit is my finger, telephone and yellow pages. Harris "lacking the repair gene" Deutsch

But whether you use coins or washers it is still Jays routine.
I don't think you should be selling the coins, and definitely not the routine. Maybe leave those who have bought it do drill their own holes in their own coins ? |

I agree with Jaz and Eddie on this one...
American coins don't have holes in them. Not to sound ignorant or mean or anything, I just don't understand any presentation that would cause American coins to have holes in them. Washers on the other hand make more sense because they do have holes in them. As with what Eddie said, it is still Jay's effect. Regardless of whether the coins are made or not, doesn't seem cool to be selling something that is currently on the market. Just my opinion, Bill |
