Victor has a good rountine with his doves. I like how he splits his rabbit at the end of his tape. Is there any dvd/book that explains how to split a rabbit?

There are many diffrent ways to do this , basically follow the same principles as a large bird split and find what works best for you. once you master it you could write a book suggested title "splitting hares"
works for me |

Get a big knife..........
Victor has not tipped his method. In fact, I know for a fact when he works with magicians at magic conventions he changes the blocking so nothing is visible from backstage either. Richard

I do have it put together where I can split a ferrot from a rabbit, but not rabbit from rabbit. A ferrot is easy to split from a rabbit because of the size.

Victor does and excellent job of splitting the rabbits but if you watch the video closely, you should be able to figure it out.

Yea, you are right, Dave. But I need a different method so it can be performed by myself inside of a house at a birthday party without a stage in any ligthing. The problem is I'm no longer using ferrots.
 I just thought of something. I still use doves. I have been bringing back the dove with a balloon for years. The set up might be ok to hold a dove. After the dove changes to a rabbit, I should bring back the dove from splitting him from the rabbit. Of course when the rabbit appears, I will have to show all around him carefuly to prove no birds are attached to him. One dove should be easy, but several will be difficult. |

Hank Moorehouse sold a very effective method of splitting one rabbit into two through (I think) Abbott's in Colon, Michigan.

When I was still living in Jamaica Mark Wilson series was on the tele every week.
This is his Children's program (The Land of Alakazam)I think that's what it was called. He did a split rabbit with a large dye box.A black and white bunny went in the box, he then did the sliding back and forth. The doors were opened and 2 bunnies came out, one black and the other white. Richard. |

I did call Abbotts about splitting a rabbit. They do sell it. The only problem is it is life-like. After my kid parties children want to step up and pet my animals.

The only place I noticed it was "Art of Dove Stealin by Victor and Diamond" video. It was performed, but not explained.

Hello Dynamike.
The Tarbell Course vol 4 on page 71 feature Jack Gwynne's color changing rabbit. This method can also be used for splitting a black and white bunny to 2 small ones. Tricky Ricky. |

Thanks Richard. I will look into it.
Posted: Apr 17, 2007 7:34pm Oh, I forgot to mention I did a few shows already. I have been splitting my chinchilla from the rabbit. In the middle of the show I put the chinchilla in a small Rabbit Wringer (Rodent Wringer) to turn him into a flat object. It vanishes as I toss it to the audience (reten*** p***). Near the end I bring back the chinchilla from splitting the rabbit. |

Victor saw my video on my website of me splitting my chinchilla from my rabbit. He does not want me to do it at major or magician's events. He willing to help me put together a way I can split chinchillas only.
