I agree. There is nothing wrong with using thimbles as long as you aren't 200 feet away.

I use thimbles with absolutely no explaination as to what it is, it doesn't really matter what it is. It's a red thing stuck on the end of my finger, and that's where the magic comes in... it's stuck there and wont go away, until there's 8. People don't care what it's supposed to be, they're caught up in the conflict and magic that is being presented. When my magic starts to look like normal everyday objects I'm gonna quit... I wanna be extraordinary with strange and marvelous props. That to me, is magic! (Since when did you see a wizard with normal everyday items?) Paul |

I have used Bill Severn's idea of 'finger bandage' to GREAT SUCCESS...
With all the colors of that self ticking wrap bandage stuff..you can do great/bright color changes too! Mark |

IMHO Shoot Ogawa is one of the greatest all-rounder magician since Michael Ammar. Again this is strictly MY OPINION

Like jimmagic, I too have seen shoot's thimbles live and they are great. I highly recommend his routine. It may seem overwhelming at first but it really isn't and it happens to be very fun to perform.
