How about Paul Gordon's stuff. I think he has stuff that uses a regular deck and is made for strolling situations. Each effect also leads to the other. I think it's worth checking out. Another plus is there are no difficult sleights.
imagine the possibilities... endless...

I'll second that,
all his stuff is totally usable, one deck, and impromtu mostly its all been tried and tested by paul, who is a top working pro in the UK lets hope he releases another great dvd soon too..... ps. david, you might want to check pauls "amazing four card trick" from his "pack up your cards" books, (vol.2 I think?) it a good strolling trick with some room for a few laughs too! |

W.O.W, kills! Use a normal deck and the gimmick and slay your audience. I love this effect, it's very, very strong!

Back in Time, as many have mentioned, is a wonderful completely improptu miracle that I use all the time. Also, effects using the Out to Lunch principle with business cards is always good.

Walkaround Card Trick? Sounds a little boring.
I have not read all the post's...so forgive me if this has been mentioned. Do not think card trick...think CARD ROUTINE. Develop a three phase card routine that is 'personal' to you[so much material to choose from].It should flow smoothly, and automatically reset...if possible.Practice and rehearse it so you can do it almost without thinking about it. Rich Make it a theatrical presentation [beginning, middle and, climax] |

In walk-around situations, some things that I perform are:
Carlyle's Homing Card, with a Card To Wallet finish. Devano Deck, using a 5-card-thick gimmick. Long Card revelation. 52 0n 1, with the selection on the reverse side, revelation. |

The goodies that I use is...
Reflex (Paul Harris) and with the "card to wallet" ending. Full Lotus - Sankey. A routine that combines; Inversion (James Lewis) , "all backs" (some moves from Carney) and a classic card change in someones hand.... I will try Mr Greens "The odds are with me" sounds good=)

Here is a nice piece Iuse for strolling situations.
A very simple one phase whisperer that I like to use in cocktail situations is to take out the queen of hearts calling her the whispering lady and give it to someone to hold. I then have a card peeked then control it to the top and glimpse it. Then I take the QH from the spectator and introduce the whispering premise. I hold the QH a few inches above the deck and gently shake it then bring it up to my ear and firstly reveal the color of their card. Then I bring it back down and repeat the shaking of the card and then go back to my ear and reveal the suit. I do this one last time and then reveal the value and name their card out loud. This creates excellent shade for a nice easy going top change for their peeked/thought of card. To cap it off, I say that the whispering lady is also a master of disguise and then turn her over to show that she is now their selection. Hope ya like it |
