I was also lucky enough to pick up one of these gems. I haven't had a chance to use it in one of my programs but I will be as soon as I come up with an interesting idea for a graphic.
The prop itself is built in the spirit of a Wacky Wolf product and as such this is quite a compliment to the builder. The materials used are the best available, the prop is a good size and the graphics fun and yet you still have the flexibility to easily change them. The same goes for the sliding disc which is designed to be customized. A final bonus was the pleasure of dealing with Bill himself who is just a plain nice guy! I'm looking for more great things from this wonderful creator! This is a 5 star prop! |

If you want to know the reason, I sold it because I collect smaller, mini magic items, and was unaware of its nice large size. I do not buy or collect stage size props. I already have enough mini magic and close up that my wife will strangle me if I begin collecting large stuff. However my selling this item doesn't depreciate my praise for it. Frankly I was lucky to pick this one up, as anyone would be. It sold quickly as expected. The person who bought mine was lucky too. Its a great piece. Both George and I have inquired with Bill and Yellowshark about making a mini-magic reproduction of this. |

Apparently, judging by the PM I got from Todd, my comment wasn't taken as lightly as I had thought it would be. Although I don't agree with selling an item for a bunch more than you paid for it TWO DAYS AFTER GETTING IT, my comment was merely meant as a joke.

For what it's worth, I have no problem with Todd selling it. He was gracious enough to explain to me why he was doing so beforehand, and it was priced too low to begin with. It is expensive to ship, since it is fairly large, so he didn't actually make much profit on it. But I also assumed Steve's post was in jest, so no hard feelings, I hope. Cheers -

No problems...and I LOVE THIS PROP. It is bigger than people would think, but, therefore, more usable in larger situations. It dwarfs my Mike Bent "Pizza Oven Surprise", so I can use it in birthday party situations, and use this larger one (once I decide on graphics for the disc) for everything else...like my libraries this summer!

I think Bill has one on ebay. By the way this blows the pizza oven suprise away.
No comparision on quality. Steve

Eric - At present I have no plans to make any more. I may make occasional props in limited numbers, but I am mainly a furniture and cabinet builder, and frankly, make more money doing that than producing props (though it is fun and personally rewarding). Cheers -
Bill PS - Just by way of explanation, I designed this to replace my pizza oven surprise because I wanted a prop to match my Wolf's Magic props (I contacted Mike Bent, the inventor of pizza oven surprise, to get permission before producing these and he graciously gave me the go-ahead). |
