Hey, don't disregard this product as the method for a completely new effect. If it's a horrible "card to wallet" wallet, I bet it's a great "something else" wallet.
Some ideas I'm thinking of are largely dependent upon whether the picture looks like a screen or a photograph in normal light. I guess in a darker place it would glow a bit, but I bet there are some presentations where the fact that it's "technology" wouldn't hurt, and might help. Feel free to be creative. |

OK... Here's a possible effect: I'll call this Cash Fax or Personal ATM
1) Show wallet empty and tell audience it is your new "Personal ATM" 2) "I use this when I'm running short on cash. My bank faxes my money to me" 3) Push a button and play a sound effect of a Fax Machine (your favorite method) 4) Using a little IT technique, a stream of 3 or 4 uncut dollar bills roll out of the short end of the wallet (Slit in wallet, IT to move the bills) Fax sound effect playing. You'll have to buy uncut bills and trim them so you have 3 or 4 connected at their short end. The LCD screen would show large black and white words like: "Requesting Cash Advance" "Receiving Cash" "Thank you for shopping at Bank Of America" (You'd have to shoot photos of the words, as large as you can get them, and put the LCD viewer into slide show mode, and watch them flash by as the Cash Fax is received) It would take some work to put this together, but it could be entertaining. Any other ideas out there? sdmagic |

Forgot to mention one more point. Here's the flash ending
Explain that you need to use a laser pointer to trim the end of the final bill (as it falls out of the end of the wallet) Hide a strip of flash paper in the wallets slit, then aim the laser pointer while igniting the flash paper with a lighter. Time this carefully so the flash takes place as the bill falls out. |

Actually, this whole idea of how a prop should look was addressed early on when I was working with Steven Brown at Tannen's. He felt that P-PIK Prediction Cards should look more like a standard deck and not have a flashy design like I ended up with. Steven felt that my design screamed "look at me, I'm a trick". In most cases I agree, but in this case I agreed to disagree, and as they say, the rest is history. I guess what I was looking for was a design that stood out and didn't look like everything else, sort of like Tarot Cards and their unique design. It also was an experiment with using new technologies for magic. Yah, it's cool to watch the reveal, but the total effect is made in the performance and how you choose to deliver a presentation around the effect. But I do appreciate the vote. Please think about how you can turn P-Pik cards into an entertainig miracle. If you get the props...just write your own story..you won't regret it. All the best. Rich |

I don't own this wallet but this may work.
Photo 52 card indexes only. Do your favorite card to wallet effect (force) card could be signed. Alternative have duplicate forced card in wallet (no signature here). Open wallet switch on slide show, last slide being the force card. Produce selected ? card from wallet. You may also be able to add the screen to your own gimmicked CTW. Mike

I used to do a trick with my cell phone that was similar...
I would tell the audience after selecting a card, that my phone has a MRI scanning chip in it. I would open the phone and scan their brain and then show them their card on the screen. Take a picture of a card save it to your wallpaper, that is it!! Mfphphpfmmmm the card your favorite method!!
