With the self ignition gimmick from Flare, does anyone know if the cigarette can be smoked or at least puffed on without risk of danger? If not, what's the point of lighting a cigarette just to not having anything to do with it?

This was discussed just recently. The chemicals involved in the combustion process burn off so the consensus was that it's no more dangerous than the cigarette itself. You just can't puff on it during the ignition phase.
No trees were killed in the making of this message, but a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced.

Yes... studies have been done, and it's safe.
They told me what the byproduct is from the chemical reaction, but they said not to give it out because it could give away the secret. I disagree. You would have to be a chemist to use this info to figure it out. So I will tell you. The only thing that remains after it has flared is... Water and Carbon Dioxide. Now if you can figure the secret out from that... well than you deserve to figue it out. Randi |

This effect looks great I would like to perform this with a pack of matches . Concentrate & the book of matches burst into flames ! I remember a matchbook version selling for over 400.00 .

I remember that $400.00 match effect. The problem with it was the necessity to place the match book into a ashtray, the effect could only take place in this specific ashtray. For a street preformer to pull an ashtray from a pocket seems unusual, but it does make sense as well as far as the effect is concerned. If this can take place in the hands, in my oppinion it would be superior.
My question is, can we preform this with a real candle, and let to burn after the ignition? DJ |

You can do it with a matchbook.
It looks really cool. With a candle... yes... but may not be practical. Randi |

Cigarette can be borrowed but you need to erhmm..which is to difficult for the average magician..
Items aren't too difficult to find too and all the items once bought can be used literally 100s of times. Well worth the 35 bucks for this item.
Think outside the box, cos people are all thinking inside now!! - ClouDsss
