I had the opportunity to see Andre Kole last night. Let me just say that if you ever get the chance to see him... DO IT!! His show incorporates his testimony and goes into magik vs. illusion. He does this in such a way where the audience does not feel they are being preached at. At one point, he gave any audience members and opportunity to step out of the theater while he does talk about God, Jesus, man, and sin.
He gives an excellent show. His finale was a stage version of the Statue of Liberty Disappearance. One word.... AWESOME!! There were quite a few magicians in the audience, and all of us were when we saw that! So, see his show if he ever comes to a town nearby! Margarette

Ditto on everything you said!
I got to see him when he was here in the South Bay (Southern Ca) late last year and he was really, really good. I even enjoyed what some of his assistants did also. But on top of that, those of us in L.A. as members of the FCM (Fellowship of Christian Magicians) got the priveledge of having him attend our meeting. He was nothing short of spellbinding to listen to as he relayed personal experiences from around the world, several involving personal danger. The meeting, as are all of our meetings, are held at The Magic Castle and this one was opened up to all Castle membership and we were packed!!! Anyways, thanks for reminding me of what a wonderful evening that was and how awesome Mr. Koles show was. GlenD

Hmmm... Wesleyan University... possibly a Methodist University? If so, since I work for a Methodist church, I wonder if I could go and have it considered going to a conference.... although I'd have to pay my own expenses.... but it would be nice if I could go and not have to take time off!! Okay, just thinking out loud here.... but it does sound nice!

BroDavid and Margarette, stop me in the dealers room if you go. It'd be fun to talk!

I too was at the Andre Kole show at Arkansas Tech University along with Margarette and was very impressed. He not only put on a grand illusion show but utilized talented assistants who added flair to his show. I was very interested in his gospel message and how he presented it as I do some gospel clowning. Many of the magicians from IBM Ring 29 from Little Rock were there and later I met Andre for an autograph and he was very friendly when I told him I was a magician. He asked if I had a stage show or did close up magic and so on. A real class act!

I saw Andre Kole at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Great show...especially the levitation.
I was going to stay for the fellowship after the formal show, but I unfortunately had an overly enthusiastic layman with me who started bragging to Andre about all the magic I did. Eek! I smiled, excused us and hustled my friend outside as quickly as possible. Steve
