WOW by Masuda
-------------oOo----------------- Description: From the brilliant mind of Masuda, comes his lasted effect - WOW! Forget about any other transformations you have seen or dreamed about in the past - this one is IT! This effect can be used as a final to any ambitious card routine or simply when you want to "visually" change one card into another! Another effect is to have a spectator select a card and sign his name on the face, and return it in the deck. At this point the magician takes a card and slides it into a thin plastic, transparent envelope. He asks the spectator if that is their chosen card - and the spectator says - NO! This is where the magic happens - right in front of their eyes - the card visually changes from the incorrect card to the correct, signed card! This is the one everyone is talking about and has been a sell out at all the national conventions. ---------------------------------------------- I have to admit that this offering is probably one of the most visual effects I've seen in a very long time. The change is as close to real magic as you're likely to ever experience. Their are numerous variations that you can present, including the idea that the spectator signs their selection, and it is placed into the deck where it becomes lost. The performer shuffles the cards and then removes just one from the pack. The magician freely displays the card as he slides it into the clear plastic holder. At this point the spectator may have a smile on her face because the card inside the holder is in fact identical to her previvious selection. But, there is one small problem - the card is missing her autograph. Obviously, this could not really be her selection and the card must in fact be but a duplicate. At that moment the magician utters a magic word and her signature visually materializes onto the face of the card. Instantly, the performer allows the spectator to remove the card and it is indeed her selection, autograph and all. The above variation is one I have been presenting for weeks now and it is absolutely slaying lay folks left and right. I showed the effect to some of my magic friends and they had no clue to how this was even possible. Folks, it does not get much better than this. If I have any reservations about this trick, it is the thought that the neophyte may not spend any amount of time thinking about the actual presentation. Indeed, the effect is so easy to accomplish and so magical looking that I'm afraid many beginners may rush out and perform what will amount to be nothing more than eye candy and a very clever puzzle at best. Make no mistake, in the right hands this can be a killer. On the other hand, presented without sound presentation and scripting will ultimately bring forth grave results. Finally, if you are an experienced performer with good audience management skills, the spectator may even hold the plastic holder without discovering its secret. However, beware that a close inspection is not recommended. It is totally angle proof, can be re-set in a second (literally) and would be an excellent effect for landing that next magic gig. I also understand that there is more than one version available (different revelations) making a repeat performance a reality. My highest recommendation - buy this now! ---------------------------------------------- My rating: Suggested retail is $55.00 Available from Stevens Magic Emporium You can contact Stevens Magic Emporium directly at: magic@stevensmagic.com To order, visit Stevens Magic website at: Click here!
