I purchased jeff McBride's tapes a a year or so ago and to this day still think that they are some of the best intructionals I ever came across.
I wonder if there is anything remotely similar in scope and quality of instruction to those tapes when it comes to manipulation work? |

Hey, There is a lot of info out there. But in my short time doing magic ive actually found that ive learned my best material from books. So if your looking for any books the ones that I reccomend are :
-Routined manipulation 1,2 and finale (Lewis Ganson) -Principles and deceptions -Expert manipulation of playing cards (Lewis Ganson) -The magic of Alan Wakeling -Roy Benson by starlight -The magic of the hands trilogy -It's easier than you think 1,2 and 3 I like books because you lewarn the break down of moves and you can put your own spin on them. But other DVD's (which are great to know what the moves should look like, speed etc) are : -Shimada greater magic vol. 3 -Tony Clarks award winning card routine -Romaine monarch of manipulators -Skilldini multiplying balls -Jeff Sheridan genious at work 2 -Jay Leslie's expert billiard ball manipulation I'm not saying that each cover more material than the McBride series but when used together you have a great resource of info to improve your manipulations with. Hope that's what you were looking for, P.S You can get I all of the books and DVD's at Denny and Lees apart from I think one dvd. |
