This weekend whilst rooting through my magic stuff I came across a micro chop cup in copper that my sons bought for me at Downtown Disney in Orlando.
I've polished it up and it looks great. I used this a few years ago and got some great reactions from spectators, it is also small enough to be easily carried. I'll be using it again now that I've rediscovered it. I have just looked at the price of one of these on the MagicMasters website, $28.50, and even though I've heard the shop described as a "Tourist Trap" I think that this is quite good value for money, you get the cup, two crocheted balls (one gimmicked), two final load balls and a velvet drawstring carrying bag. Has anyone else out there got one of these? What does anyone else think, good value or not?

I also have one, I love it.. Mine was also bought from magic masters in atlanta, which is now closed. It's a decent value, I love the size as it's easily transportable and the loads are very workable. works well in the bars etc.. I like mine..

If this is the one they list on their web site as a Pocket Chop Cup, you guys paid about 35% over retail for it. This is a Morrissey mini chop cup in copper. Morrissey's retail on it is $22.00 CDN, which translates into $20 US. Be very careful when you see products like this advertised on the net, especially on the big auction site that begins with an E. Some of the sellers take advantage of the fact that most of us don't know about the difference between Canadian and US prices.
I use a pocket chop cup, myself, preferring the RnT II brass Baby Don Alan cup for normal work.

I just purchased a Morrissey mini chop cup in copper a few days ago. I paid $18 shipped. Nice little cup. I like it a lot...
It's not the size of the wand that matters, it's the "magic" in it...

I have a mini chop cup on a popular auction site right now.
This might be the best size chop cup I've ever held for the walk-around performer. It's also a working shot glass so it could be used at the bar as well for magic and for mixing drinx.

It's important to remember that Magic Masters has earned its reputation as a tourist trap by opening shops in malls that cater to walk-in tourist trade and carrying a line of material that is, in general, overpriced and not intended for purchase by savvy magicians.
Their target market is the guy who walks in off the street, sees a decent demo, then parts with his spondulicks. It's the same market that the kiosks in Vegas cater to.

I thought I was the only one who used 'spondulicks'.
Well done, Bill.

Well, even though I've found out that my lads were overcharged I have to say that I still like the cup.
Regarding what Bill Palmer says, I saw some good demos when I was in the shop. Thanks for all your inputs guys. Nice things Tom
