I do not wish this to be a thread. I've been persuing other ventures recently and really needed a Hot Ball from Viking. Well, I missed the train. I'm still waiting to hear from them if/when they will make more. Please send me a PM if you been thinking about parting with yours. Thanks!

I am currently in the market for a Hot Ball.
Any chance someone here has one they'd be willing to part with for a price? Many thanks, Steve |

I tried ordering one from Hank Lee's catalog, but they were out of stock, and so was Viking. That was nearly six months ago.

I believe they have stopped manufacturing these do to the toxicity of the chemicals.
I recall reading several threads about this on the forum use the search for Mysterious metal heating Hotball heating aluminum foil they should give you many different results. here is a sample thread http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......orum=109 |

It's a completely different set of chemicals used for the hot ball than for the aluminum foil in the hand. In the hot ball, the chemicals themselves NEVER contact the person holding the ball. In the aluminum foil, both the spectator and the magician are exposed directly to toxic chemicals.
Traditionally, the hot ball was made of brass.

Looking for a Viking Hot Ball! Might there be someone out there who has one to sell?

Just a thought, you might consider making your own.
I searched hollow split spun brass balls and found this site. Spheres and Hemispheres www.wagnercompanies. they have a n inch and a half brass ball with a 1/16 inch hole, for thirty dollars. one might inquire about larger spheres. if you know how the original works you could solder in the modifications then seek out the chemicals required. Dennfox, this company has split spheres in other metals as well, some larger than the brass, and even at a lower price. The aluminum ones would sem to be perfect as a zombie ball.
Here's hoping you all may find the ball tou want. PM me with any news of successfully making a hot ball. Kotah Kotah |

Hey Kotah, Thanks for all the info! I am terrible at making things and I will ask one of my friends if they could do this for me! Better still if I can find one already made--it would make my life easier!
