I will be working my church's booth at a street fair, and thought holding an oversized 100 dollar bill would get peoples attention. I would then like to have a good gospel message for the Wonderland Bill type of effect.
I've seen the mesasge at http://www.professorwonder.com/magic24.htm but my oversized bill is not a "Jesus" bill, but it does have some scripture on the reverse. Some other thoughts were - "What's in Your Wallet?" Trusing in money is fleeting, but the word of God is forever - Jesus is standing at the door and knocking, if any one lets Him in.. (would work if I had a "Jesus bill" - Can you walk thru a 2" hole? I have also made a "bill" out of red paper on one side and white paper on the other, and quoted Is Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be come white as snow. But, a piece of red/white paper doesn't grab peoples attention the same way a $100 does. I would like some help here! Since I have many bills to hand out, I was contemplating whether I should offer to show people how this works. The method at the above web site is different than the commercially available method and seems to be freely available, should I consider that method fair game for showing to others? Thanks John

I would use "what would it profit if a man gains the whole world, but loses his soul, or what shall a man exchange for his soul"...
I would offer the bills, if you're going to give them out as reminders of the message you just shared. Do a routine that would tie in the verse above. Or you could even do a torn and restored 100 dollar bill trick since you are using jumbo bills...you could even print out labels that has that verse on it and place them on the bills that you hand out. That's what I would do...get them around, do a quick performance with the bill, hand out bills with a verse on it. |

Hey John,
Depending on the thickness of the paper you could probably teach folks to do the old linking paper clips trick with the bill. If it is a jumbo bill you just need some jumbo paper clips! With the clips representing Man and God and the Bill representing sin or anything we allow to come between us and God it makes a quick but strong object lesson. As the thing which comes between us and God is removed (pull the bill away) Our relationship to God is restored. Then you can explain how one receives forgiveness for sin through Christ. I use this a lot with regular sized bills and people really enjoy it. |
