Do you ever do magic in public just to draw attention to yourself and possibly hand out a card or two?
Example: I once changed a blank piece of paper into a ten at a fast food restaurant to pay for the food. I used a clever Tenyo device that I don't remember the name of. The cashier refused to take the ten, being sure it was fake, and insisted I pay by check. (Because anyone who would print counterfeit bills would never pass a bad check!) Used a flame wallet at Nordstrom while paying. (Several people asked for a card after.) "Fixed" a "hole" in a kids shirt. Coughed up 25 feet of mouth coils while waiting for the bus. (College days) (Booked a scout show with that.) Anyway, what have some of you done and did it ever lead to a booking?

Handed the cashier a $1 for a purchase. Then changed it into a $20. She flipped, then used the marker to make sure the bill was real. Afterwards, she took $20 of her own money, and switched it with my $20 because she was so positive the bill was magic.

I remember getting ta cheap plastic "bill printer" when I was young in magic (25 years ago?) and taking it to the store to buy something by running the blank paper through the rollers. They also would not take it even though it was just a dollar. Of course, a dollar was worth a little more back then, but still...
