I have noticed a trend in recent months on this and other forums about how to use websites, blogs, myspace, online videos and other techno related items for promoting our services. So... out of the dust comes: Bits and Buzz.
Bits and Buzz is a podcast I created for anyone who is interested in learning more about using technology for marketing, creating a buzz and any other type of promotion. Topics we are covering: Website design * Active v. Passive websites * CSS and HTML versus Flash sites * Online Forms, mailing lists and autoresponders * Content Management: Drupal, MySQL * What content works best on a website? Blogs, Podcasts and Forums * Advantages of blogs, podcasts and forums * How to set up a blog * Setting up, recording and publishing a podcast * Creating a dialogue with forums Online Videos * What cameras and microphones to use * Setting up the cameras and mics for best results * Music and video * On-screen testimonials and what else should be in the video * Editing * Optimizing video for the web (which format to use?) Plus going over trends in the new media and how it affects us as entertainers and what we can do to use these trends to our advantage. The link to the show is: http://www.reelsinmotion.tv/bitsandbuzz Since this is a brand new show, I'd really like to know what you guys would like to hear on program. I know there are a lot of questions out there. I hope we can create a resource for everyone. I hope you enjoy the show! Scott |
