Dr. Doom's real name is John Lee Clifton, and he was proprietor of Mystery Castle, a magic and costume shop in Columbus, Ohio. I met him years ago at an Atlanta magic convention. I, too, love his book Geek Magic. Besides the outrageous stunts, it has a wonderful first-hand description of the "infamous" Dr. Magic Show that played at the 1988 IBM Convention in Boston. Dr. Doom's thin pamphlet Theatre of Blood is also a great read, chock full of spook show ideas. And his book Traps (Magicians all Into) is full of insight and ideas. Don't know what happened to him or whether the books are still availble.

I’m looking for a copy of this, or at least the excerpt of the Dr Magic account for an article I’m writing about it. Can anyone help? I started writing it a few years back but hit a brick wall when trying to track this down and would love to get started on it again. Thanks!
