I think this is originally from http://www.practical-magic.com/kids.html (although I didn't see it listed just a minute ago). I read some mixed things about this John somewhere in the Café. I don't recall exactly, but you may want to Quicksearch.

I bought this trick 6 months ago in germany and I can tell you it's really an incredible trick and kid's reactions are wonderfull...

It's quite a good looking prop, but a bit too ordinary for my liking. Of course, the premise of magic wands being made in a special machine is brilliant, I just don't think this particular prop does justice to the possibilities.....
