What do you want the audience to think about you? Why do you want them to think that?
What do you want the audience to think about what you do? Why? Is it necessary for the audience to believe in psychic phenomenon or the supernatural, or that you have special "powers" in order for you to do a great Mentalism performance? If so, why do you think that? If not, what approach works for you? - entity

"What do you want the audience to think about you?"
That I'm entertaining, intriguing and mysterious as heck. "Why do you want them to think that?" Because it's what I like to do and work hard at and if they think that then I've succeeded. "What do you want the audience to think about what you do? Why?" '' That's it's all entertaining, mysterious and intriguing as heck, because I've done my job right if they do. "Is it necessary for the audience to believe in psychic phenomenon or the supernatural, or that you have special "powers" in order for you to do a great Mentalism performance?" I'm going to do a great mentalism performance regardless, so the answer is no, but I'm certainly not going to tell them it's all bull hockey before I begin my performance either, because performing my "experiments" and "demonstrations" convincingly is part of the magic of my performances. "What approach works for you?" My approach is one of bringing my audience to some kind of alternate reality, whether they believe in the supernatural or not. It works better with some than others. Can't please everybody. Though I try.

I want them to feel good about themselves.
Because it's positive and enjoyable for them. I want them to feel comfortable and entertained by what I do. It's not necessary that they believe in powers or forces. Think about those words... I just hope that they'll feel comfortable and experience enjoyment. fun, funny, funloving... |

Oooh, goody. A quiz:
What do you want the audience to think about you? I tell them I'm not psychic but will attempt to replicate the powers of one. Why do you want them to think that? I want them to think for themselves and yet still see something they genuinely can't explain to see how much further it's possible to think. What do you want the audience to think about what you do? I want them to think that what I do is useful to them in the real world. Why? I want them to like me, obviously. Is it necessary for the audience to believe in psychic phenomenon or the supernatural, or that you have special "powers" in order for you to do a great Mentalism performance? Not at all. |

I want the audience to think that I have stimulated their minds in an entertaining manner. When I am finished I would like them to say "that was fun and I would like to see him perform again".

What do you want the audience to think about you?
That I have supernatural powers so powerful and godlike that they should obey me, fear me, and please me. Why do you want them to think that? So they will obey me, fear me and please me. What do you want the audience to think about what you do? That I can kill them just by thinking about it. Why? So they will obey me, fear me and please me. Is it necessary for the audience to believe in psychic phenomenon or the supernatural, or that you have special "powers" in order for you to do a great Mentalism performance? No, but if they don't they won't obey me, fear me and please me. . . . . . . . . . . JUST KIDDING!!! I just want them to have a good time and tell their friends to see my show.
