Yes, I've seen that. It's a great routine, but those cups aren't really examined at the beginning, are they?

Do they need to be? Actually, if you wanted to waste time doing so, they can be examined at the beginning.

No, they don't have to be examined necesarily. But the only thing about David's routine is the cups are never seen to be empty.
