Hi Jim,
I'll get you the photos within the next few days. Anyone else want to see it, give me your e-mail address and I'll send 'em along. There is some type of percussion stand that is used for loose percussion items, like ratchets, whistles, claves, and other noisemakers that I've seen before and looks good, it's just real heavy, but real solid. China was unbelievable !, It was a gas doing the Chiinese linking rings in China. I'm going back for the month of October. Shanghai this time. Talk to you soon, Joe H |

Thanks, Joe. Iaasc, thank you. I admire your work. I have seen video of your performing at a ren faire. (Did I spell that right?)
Pete and Joshua, The stands look nice, but I'm not looking for a keyboard stand; I have my home built tray stand, which is probably lighter. In any case, I wanted legs that completely fold up and could fit inside a briefcase so the whole shabang can be carried like a briefcase so I could do a show anywhere. Jim

Here's a new table from Ikea. Cost: $22.99 Max Load: 13 lbs. Max Height: 31 7/8 (probably about 6" too short for Cups and Balls). Nice design for an inexpensive adjustable height table. Probably not for the street, but ok for a practice table!

There's just something about the cross leg pattern of this, that I don't like nearly as much as the one I am looking at. Also, I think it's a bench for sitting, and wouldn't come as high.

I don't busk much, so I made a real cheap easy going table. I bought one of these:
http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/10037951 which is a laundry basket thing that's like £3.99, cut the bag off it, and put my case on top. If I set it up so the legs cross the wrong way round it's the perfect height and sturdy, and cheap! I put a mat on top to stop the balls rolling (and one day I'll get a frame too). A guy I know who's just starting off had a great idea, he converted an ironing board!!! Amazing! Paul |

Guys,
We're looking for a lightweight show that will fit into a briefcase and be very portable. Having to lug around a tray stand does not fit the concept unless the traystand can fold up and fit into a briefcase. Thanks. Jim

I repeat... what's wrong with the Harbin table? Just stick it onto the case.

JJ,
You should ask yourself if your "Anywhere Show" should need a table. JimmyTalksALot doesn't use a table. And he looks MegaCool standing next to his little doctor's bag. Maybe this is where you should go. The "Anywhere Show" just doesn't have a table. The only thing I use my table for are cups, really. I could get by with a tableless busking show with... Egg Bag, Rope, Rings, Silks, Spongeballs, Cards Accross, Billiard Balls, Miser's I'm sure you can do at least as well. If you wanted to do a cup routine you could use a piece of masonite that is cut to fit in your case and have 2 spectators hold it up as a table. Andy Comic's Table does seem to fit the bill for something like this as well. So might the famed Coleman Camping Stove Stand and a briefcase. It is very lightweight and small.

You can do a chop cup on a Walsh Appearing table or one of the japanese spring loaded ones. I use a sample case on a small folding stool for my comedy club act (which is the same as a street act).
