Are Penguin and Hank Lee's assorted decks the same?

Hi Lucky! Welcome to the Café.
If you are referring to the Bicycle gaff decks that these dealers offer...yes, they are the same. If you have some extra cash and want something a bit more unique, you should also check out the CAJ deck ( http://www.cajmagic.com ), the Fako deck ( http://www.daytonamagic.com/Card%20Magic/CA055.htm -last item at bottom of page)...or Ellusionist's multiple series of gaff decks.

Best of luck!

The CAJ deck is definitely worth a look, if that's your thing.

Glad to see I'm not alone in that opinion. This is one of my favorites.

Do these decks come with any material detailing the use of the gaffed cards?

I received the CAJ deck. I thought that it would contain the cards for "Skinner's 3 Card Monte". It didn't. The cards for 3CM that did come with it were an Ace of Spades rather than, I believe, the Ace of Hearts and the the other two. The AS makes it a little harder to do the effect, as it has more ink on it.

My handling makes it easier to handle a large center (the bending of the cards).

My handling (which is on Jays' CD now) has a bending which allows the lift to be much easier on any surface. The Ace of Spades is also used as it is SO different from the 2H and 3H, which are the other 2 cards.
