There are folks getting their thoughts together on topics that while not new to the craft none the less are worth sharing and discussing.
Can we have a "Posted on the Refrigerator" type section for folks to post their works for non-academic styled discussion/admiration? :) Jon

Jonathan,
Can you be more specific?

I think John`s talking about a "off topic" section where you can talk about other subjects than magic.I see these in other web sharing sites.
theres a lot to learn out there, many interesting subjects, and hobbies to enjoy

Jonathan, a section like you described is already listed under the section "General Magic." The heading is called "Not very magical, still...": http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......32&7

That is the discussion topics I believe he was referring to, not unrelated to magic. I wouldn't be too quick to assume Jonathan just missed a better more suited topic. Although there are a lot of guys who would be posting large articles that really don't know what they are talking about....... I would hope some of our more experienced would also take part. Whit Haydn for example.
Magic is doing improbable things with odd items that, under normal circumstances, would be unnessecary and quite often undesirable.

Yes, I believe Jon is asking specifically about a section for "essays and writings" rather than what we have in the "Not very magical, still...." section.
My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".

I personally would love a section on magic theory, which it sounds like Mr. Townshend is requesting.
Good magic theory is more helpful and inspiring to an aspiring magician than a hundred mediocre tricks.

On second thought, I think everyone's misinterpreting your meaning, Jonathan.
I'm sorry, what exactly are you requesting? Theory or just miscellany or what?
