Is anyone out there performing Bob Farmer's C&B routine "Cyclops", or performed it in the past? Anyone seen it performed?
I've purchased the routine and would like to see if anyone has any tips or thoughts on it. Terry

I would love to work on that routine and have been searching for this book. Where can I buy this?

Here is a description: Cyclops by Bob Farmer Bob Farmer's one-ball Cups and Balls routine. One large ball and three cups are examined by the spectators. Your hands are empty. So are your pockets. Covered by a cup, the ball vanishes! It then jumps from cup to cup! It penetrates the bottom of a cup! It jumps from pocket to cup. It appears under any cup the spectator picks! It multiplies to three balls, one under each cup! No special equipment required Can be done close-up, surrounded, on stage, standing, sitting, kneeling. 5 second reset. Short, easy-to-follow, spectator-friendly routine. Simple sleights No lapping Can be seen by a large audience but is still deceptive for a small one. 32 illustrations make it effortless to learn. -todd

Thanks, Todd. Always forget about my friend google I'll do a search now.
I found an online store (http://www.magicstor.com/files/page1.html) selling this book. Just like to check whether anyone bought from this place before? Your input is appreciated. |

I'll think you'll find this to be very different from the usual cups and balls routines. For one thing, because it features one large ball, it can been seen from some distance. It's also very flexible: once you learn the routine you can do it with various sizes and cups and balls. In fact, you can use the skeleton of the routine for allkinds of other routines (three shell game, etc.).

When the books arrive, I'll work on the routine and post my thoughts here.

I spent a lot of time working this routine out. For example, in some cup and ball rotuines, there are some awkward moments where the hands cross as a cup or ball is transferred or moved from one hand to the other. I tried to eliminate those problems with Cyclops, so when working through the routine, please try my handling first -- even when you instinctively want to use the right hand in place of the left. You'll see it pays off.

I'll remember that, Bob. Will use my left. Fortunately I practise mymoves with both hands so will not have problems swithing hands. Thanks again, Bob.

The sequence that flow from one to the other has really been well thought out by Bob. I am now making cyclops as one of my working routines for my performances. |

Hopefully one day I'll be able to see it being performed live.
