Hey everyone...
Just wondering if magicians would have a need for a web-based scheduler, gig tracking...etc. Just want your thoughts on what many magicians would like to help them keep track and follow-up with prospects and to keep track of their gigs and money earned and stuff like that. |

I currently use ACT software for all of my contact management and scheduling purposes. It works wonderfully for me because it not only does what I need it to do, but I can fully customize it for my needs and thwe way I my wife and I want to run our business.
This is not to say that a web-based system would not have value. It probably would to some. Just for me, ACT works incredibly well for my needs and solves my problems. Also, because it is not web-based, I do not have any worries about speed or not having access to it if my internet connection is down. Just my 2 cents worth is all. Kyle

Like Kyle, I use ACT as well.
Love the customization of the fields feature it provides. Lyndel |

I started experimenting and working with SugarCRM, an open source web based program like ACT, that runs on your server. It's pretty neat.

I already know of a web-based customer database program, although it's not specifically for magicians. It has schedule functions, reminders, automatic e-mail options, etc. It's very user-friendly.
The information is yours to upload or remove, and is secure over several servers. The advantage is, that you can access your customer database from any computer with an internet connection. However, I still prefer to use my own database software, on my computer. - Donald
