We probably all know the famous problem of attempting to cover with 31 2x1 domino stones a chess board which 2 of its corners (on the same diagonal) were removed.
This is an easy enough puzzle. A much more difficult problem is can you prove it is possible/or not possible to cover ANY chess board with 31 2x1 domino stones of which 2 squares of OPPOSITE colors were removed? N. |
