Wrapping tissue paper is what you use for fuse. You can get it at most drug stores, Target, Walmart in the gift wrap section. The best deal I found is at Dollar Stores if you have them in your area.

Hi Roni,
You have 2 different replies. 1. FUSE is a liquid you put on wrapping tissue. The liguid(paint) burns onto the wrapping tissue. 2. FLASH PAPER is used for many effects that require a quick 1 sec. flash of fire. hope this helps, |

The fuse paper that I know of is simply the 'fuse'...remember the wick in bombs depicted in Tom and Jerry cartoons...when lit,it burns slowly and steadily. In India .especially in making crackers...there is a thin paper cylinder(less than 1mm diam) which contains two thread filaments impregnated with a black powder.I'm not sure about the combination of chemicals(my 76 yr old dad says something about pot nit/sul/coal which he used 53 yrs ago...).
This fuse is available as 'sparkling candles'(Chinese make)..used in birthday cake candles. |
