My son bought a magic trick with a die and two tubes, one smaller than the other. He has lost the instructions and I have no idea what the trick is or how to do it. Can anyone help?
Thanks! |

Hmmm...any chance you could post a picture of it?

The two tubes are actually plastic canisters and should have red lids for them. you have the spectator place the die in the smaller one and remember the number facing up before they place the lid on it. You take the smaller canister and place it in the larger one and cap it. have the spectator cover the canisters with their hand. You can patter about x-ray vision or mind reading and then you tell the number they chose on the die. Open the canisters and show everyone you were correct. Good pocket trick if you can present it properly.

Ahhh...yes. Thanks Bill. When he said "tubes," I was thinking some kind of long tube and had no idea he was talking about the small canisters that look like small film canisters.

Thanks for the reply Misterbill, however I still am not sure how he is supposed to know the number they chose. What is the actual "trick" to it?
He bought one of those little magic sets that has 4 tricks in them but lost the instructions. 3 of them are easy as they are mechanical in some way or another, but this one makes no sense to me. |

That "talking die" effect is actually a very good beginners effect. Makes you focus on your timing and presentation,
