I am beginning to put together a routine and was curious as to whether any of you performers used handcuffs. I know Ricki Dunn has a bit on it in his book, but any other suggestions. I wanted my character to be sort of the "criminal next door" using a number of tricks and props usually associated with crime and such. I didn't if it would play big to pickpockets (or pretend to pickpockets while the cuffs were still on)

I was also wondering what type of "Character" plays best when performing a pickpocketing act. Funny and upbeat seems to be a strong way to go because humor ususaly puts people at ease, and being a little on the hyper size certainly helps with misdirection, but everyone is different. What type of personality are you when you perform?
